In a big salon with concrete walls in the Prada’s headquarters with floors covers with a huge red kilim carpet and huge squared chandeliers made of neon tubes, Miuccia Prada created a salon of an imaginary palazzo to present Prada’s offering for the next Autumn/Winter. And man, she did it in grand style. Such Hollywood A-listers as Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Gary Oldman, Tim Roth, Garrett Hedlund, Emile Hirsch and Jamie Bell walked the runway with a naturalness that confirmed their talent as perfect players in the Prada pageant.

Overall Miuccia Prada’s winter 2013 collection spoke of a man who likes to be both eccentric and mysterious, is quite sure of himself and at times a bit of a snob. Somewhat of a dandy, he prefers his hair long, as is tempted by the eccentricity of a mustache.

The strong points of the collection surely have to be the tailored power suits and the long over coats.

Once again Mrs. Prada has proved us that she’s one of the most creative designer around, and even with such a stellar casting, including award winning actors, the focus stayed on the clothes.
